Who you’re actually hiring

Xip has been at it since 2023. It started on roofs and grew outward into the rest of the exterior from there: siding, soffit and fascia, gutters, trim, decks, fencing, painting, and the general contracting work that tends to come attached to all of it. We're based in Bozeman and most of what we do sits within about an hour of it.

Sam Harlan owns the company, and he's the one who walks your property and writes the quote. That isn't a marketing line, it's just how an outfit this size works. If something goes wrong on your roof, you aren't calling a service number and waiting on a ticket.

We'll tell you when a repair makes more sense than a replacement. We'll also tell you when we're not the right outfit for what you're after, which happens, and it saves everybody a month.

Questions we get

Straight answers

Do you take small jobs?

Yes. A lot of our calls are a few blown-off shingles or a leak showing up around a chimney. If a repair will hold, we'll do the repair. If you're patching a roof that's finished, we'll say that too.

What does an estimate cost?

Nothing. We come out, get on the roof or walk the exterior, and give you a written number. No deposit to get a quote and nobody follows up eight times.

Licensed and insured?

Yes, and we'll send certificates before a crew shows up if you want them on file.

Do you go up to Big Sky?

Regularly. Copper, standing-seam and cedar shake work up the canyon is a good chunk of what we do. Belgrade, Livingston, Manhattan and Three Forks too.

Most of our work comes from homeowners planning a re-roof or a siding job. The rest is builders who need an exterior crew that shows up, and property managers trying to keep buildings weather-tight without a lot of back and forth.
