We’re a small crew out of Bozeman

Xip does roofing, siding and general contracting around southwest Montana. Most weeks that means a residential re-roof or a siding job somewhere in the Gallatin Valley. Some weeks it means soldering copper on a place up in Big Sky. Same crew either way.

Detail work

Where roofs actually fail

Almost never in the middle of the field. It’s the valleys, the step flashing, the pipe boots, the spot where a roof runs into a wall or a chimney. That’s the slow part of the job, and it’s the part we don’t hurry.

We solder our own copper valleys rather than relying on sealant to do a metal-worker’s job. Same approach on an in-town ranch as on a place in Big Sky, because water doesn’t care what the house cost.

How a job usually goes

Tell us the address and what’s going on. Photos help if you have them.

We come look

We get on the roof or walk the exterior, go over materials and cost, then put a number in writing.

We do the work

Crew shows up when we said. Site gets cleaned up daily. If something changes, you hear it from us first.

Final walk

We go over the finished work with you, run a magnet over the yard, and haul it all off.
